Yuhan Liu
BSc candidate in math of finance and risk management, economics, and data science
Yuhan Liu is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, pursuing a Math of Finance and Risk Management, Economics, and Data Science degree. She is also a member of the Informal Sustainability Lab. Yuhan is passionate about applying quantitative and analytical skills to understand financial and economic systems better.
Yuhan has gained valuable experience through internships and research opportunities. At China Cinda Asset Management, she contributed to evaluating bankruptcy reorganization cases, while at the London Stock Exchange Group, she worked on analyzing real estate investment trends and the impact of macroeconomic conditions. During her research on how monetary policy can affect treasury bond yield, Yuhan built a regression model using Python to show the effect of the financial crisis and quantitative easing on US treasury bond yield. She also provided some suggestions for portfolio managers based on the results.
Currently, Yuhan is a member of the research team “Geospatial Data Pilot Study in Old Fadama, Accra.” She participates in survey questions and sampling method design and will support data analysis in the future.
